White Haze

White Haze is a 2026 album by the Belarusian dark ambient project Ugasanie, the solo moniker of Pavel Malyshkin. Known for his deep immersion in polar-themed soundscapes, Malyshkin utilizes a signature blend of glacial drones, field recordings, and ritualistic textures to evoke the desolation of the Arctic Circle. This release continues the artist's long-standing exploration of the 'Endless Cold,' a recurring motif in his discography that emphasizes immersive, low-frequency sound design and suffocating, windswept atmospheres. As a prominent figure in the contemporary dark ambient scene, Ugasanie frequently collaborates with labels like Cryo Chamber to craft acousmatic sound continuums that bridge the gap between traditional ambient music and post-industrial noise. White Haze stands as a testament to his ability to translate the harsh, unpredictable nature of the northern wilderness into a cohesive and haunting sonic experience.
