Aros E-V, the ambient project of Ryan Ander-Evans, returns in 2026 with the two-track album body metaphor, released via the Texas-based imprint Language Instinct. The release captures a live, single-take performance utilizing a tactile array of equipment, including an electric chord organ, a 4-track recorder, and tape loops. By integrating contact and room microphones with a loop station, the artist constructs a dense sonic environment that bridges the gap between musique-concrète and meditative drone. The specific performance setup for this record emerged from collaborations with Astrid Hubbard Flynn, while the final audio was mastered by Mitchell Meyer. Spanning nearly forty minutes across the tracks inner workings and kept resonance, the album aligns with the label’s focus on experimental electronic textures and constant practice. Ander-Evans continues to explore the Welsh concept of aros—meaning to stay or pause—through this exploration of aging audio hardware and ephemeral sound.
