Kevin Richard Martin returns in 2026 with Blue Loops, a fourteen-track album released through his Intercranial Recordings imprint. Building on a career defined by the heavy pressure of The Bug and the pioneering curation of the Isolationism compilation, Martin here further refines his approach to beatless, atmospheric composition. The album’s foundation consists of raw feedback loops recorded in various European hotel rooms, which were subsequently transformed through intensive processing at the artist's soundlab in Brussels. Sonically, the record occupies a space between psychedelic drone and electro-acoustic dub, utilizing spectral repetitions and deep sub-bass to create a sense of cavernous isolation. Mastered by Frédéric Alstadt, the work continues the trajectory of previous projects like Frequencies for Leaving Earth and his rescore of Tarkovsky’s Solaris.
