Brainwave Music No. III

Brainwave Music No. III is a collaborative album featuring the experimental duo of Ilpo Väisänen and Dirk Dresselhaus, joined by composer and multi-instrumentalist Ulrich Krieger. Väisänen, a founding member of the influential Finnish electronic act Pan Sonic, and Dresselhaus, known for his work as Schneider TM, have maintained a long-standing partnership under the moniker Angel since 1999. Their collaborative output is characterized by a freeform approach that navigates the intersections of industrial, drone, and avant-garde sound design. Ulrich Krieger, a German-born musician based in Los Angeles, contributes his expertise in saxophone, electronics, and contemporary composition to this project. The release exemplifies the trio's shared interest in sonic exploration, blending analog synthesis with improvisational textures to create immersive, weightless soundscapes. This work stands as a notable entry in the discographies of these seasoned experimentalists, reflecting their ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic and acoustic interplay.
