Denver-based artist Echo Vocation, the project of Adrian Johnson, expands his exploration of modular synthesis with the 2025 digital album. The release is structured as a three-part triptych titled "Within the Drifting Derelict," featuring extended compositions that reach over 30 minutes in their final movement. Utilizing a combination of modular synths and Eurorack kalimba processing, Johnson crafts semi-generative soundscapes that align with the "doombient" and sci-fi horror aesthetic.
